Main Event of 61st Anniversary of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS) was closed with a Ketoprak performance on Saturday (12/28/2019) night at GOR Campus 2 UMS. Interestingly some of the campus leaders join the artists of Kethoprak in performance.

Actors who joined in kethoprak performance were former Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership Prof. Dr. Din Syamsudin MA, Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, Tarzan Srimulat, Member of PP Muhammadiyah Drs Marpuji Ali M. Si (as Patih Danurejo), UMS Rector Prof. Dr. Sofyan Anif M.Si (as Adipati Anom), Deputy Rector 2 Ir Sardjito Ph.D. (as Governor-General of the Netherlands) and others.

Because they are not professional actors, they might fail in some part, especially in dialogue, but that invites audience laughter. Moreover, the improvisation of their dialogue often invites humor.

The presence of senior comedian Tarzan Srimulat gives his color. He was able to bring mood in the whole atmosphere of the characters who were playing at the time. BPH Secretary Dr. Sabar Narimo and Chancellor Secretary Dr. Anam Sutopo M.Hum who also took the role of Tumenggung could also playoff.

Thousands of spectators from Muhammadiyah residents from the Subasukawonosraten area and the general public packed the GOR area until the performance ended. They look chuckled when the characters clash with acting and there is something wrong or forgetfulness of the script or when they tease each other.

For example when Din Syamsuddin, who played Sri Sultan HB VII, brought a copy of the manuscript into the stage. The cheat sheet goes back and forth because it is not fluent in Javanese. This repeatedly invited the audience to laugh. The man who was born in Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara, inevitably also became a joke for Tarzan who played the role of Aspri (Personal Assistant) of Sultan HB VII.

"Nuwun sewu Gusti, panjenengan niku kok ngasto naskah meniko duspundi. Mosok raja kok njaplak (Pardon me, Your Majesty, how can you bring the manuscript. How could the king cheat), "Tarzan said, immediately greeted by laughter from the audience. Another funny scene when the dialogue between the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo who acted as the governor of Central Java and visit the King of Yogyakarta Palace. The Governor of Central Java was also insinuated by King HB VII (Din Syamsudin) for helping Muhammadiyah Congress activities. Likewise, Patih Danurejo's request, which was played by Drs Marpuji Ali M.Si., asked the Governor that the Gonilan street on the west side of the campus be paved immediately to fix the conference.

"Sik..sik, La soal ini (request for help-red) is not in the script. How come at the beginning of the formation of the Muhammadiyah, suddenly it was a conference. Here they are directly targeted by aid and asphalt roads, "said Ganjar Pranowo, who was greeted by laughter from the audience.

The Chancellor of UMS said the demonstration was carried out in the celebration of the 61st Anniversary of the UMS and welcomed the 48th Congress of Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah. "This is in the context of the 61st Anniversary of the UMS and one of the lively series of the 48th Congress of Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah in Surakarta on July 1-5, 2020," he said when interviewed before the performance.

Sofyan Anif explained, ketoprakan that titled 'Sang Surya Amajari Jagat', tells the background of the establishment of Muhammadiyah. "The story of 'The Surya Amajari Jagad' tells the history of the founding of Muhammadiyah in 1911, about the struggle of KH Ahmad Dahlan in Yogyakarta when establishing Muhammadiyah. "The establishment of the first school/madrasa for pribumi, supported by HB VII, until the establishment of the Muhammadiyah organization officially in 1912," he explained.

"Against the background of the story of the establishment of Muhammadiyah. At that time Indonesian was being colonized by Dutch and they experiencing poverty and misery. The people were told to plant by force by the Dutch. Then Muhammadiyah will present intelligence by establishing schools and other social movements, "explained Sofyan Anif who played Adipati Anom.

While Din Syamsuddin stated that it was his first time playing ketoprak. "This is my first experience playing Ketoprak. And I can't speak Javanese hehe, "said Din Syamsuddin who played the character of the King of Yogyakarta.

In contrast to Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo, he was very relaxed when preparing for the stage. Ganjar said he did not have a special role in the stage, so he played the role of governor of Central Java, playing for himself. "So I want a welcome to the community, but it is packaged in the form of a ketoprakan," said Ganjar.

Before the agenda began, the program began with Tabligh Akbar, which was filled by Din Syamsuddin. After Tabligh Akbar, the event continued by Launching of the 48th Conference of Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah by the Chairman of PP Muhammadiyah Drs. HA. Dahlan Rais, M.Hum by shooting an arrow. The countdown displays the time left for the upcoming Congress.
